Avoid wearing synthetic fabrics such spandex, Lycra and nylon, as they don't allow the skin to breathe. Cotton on the other hand, does. So, the heat build-up, which is a natural by- product of exercise, can easily be dissipated.

Many exercisers like the look and feel of leotards and tights, but any non-binding clothing that allows you to move freely is fine to wear.

Don't compromise on footwear. Get a good pair of sneakers with a thick sole for adequate cushioning. Your lower limbs need good support. Air-soled shoes are usually far more supportive and provide better cushioning than others.
